Do you want to feel younger than you are? A couple of clinical studies recently published, the first done with men, the second with women, mostly over 50, say it’s entirely possible! The program done with the Virginia Commonwealth University consisted of an 8-week diet and lifestyle intervention. Participant’s biological age was assessed using blood taken before and after the 8-week program, to determine changes in DNA methylation.
It was found that the men finished with a biological age on average of 3.26 years younger, and the women on average 4.6 years younger.
That’s pretty impressive after only 8 weeks!
So, what did they do?
Study participants were asked to include the following each day:
Food & Water
- 2 cups leafy green vegies
- 2 cups cruciferous vegies (Broccoli, cauliflower, kale, rocket…)
- 3 cups colorful vegies (red, yellow, green, orange vegies)
- ¼ cup each pumpkin seed, and sunflower seed
- 1 beetroot
- 1 egg
- 2 liters water
- 2 Probiotic capsules
- 1 scoop greens powder
- Liver supplement
Lifestyle
- Exercise at least 30 mins daily
- Practice abdominal breathing twice daily
- Sleep at least 7 hours each night
- Fast 12 hours between dinner and breakfast
