Harvard researchers evaluated data collected from 86,149 women enrolled in the Nurses Health study over 30 years of follow up. Women having the highest intake of magnesium had 13% lower risk of stroke than those with the lowest intake. Research was published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition 8th May 2015. Magnesium is abundant in fresh leafy green veggies like Spinach and Kale, as well as in nuts like almonds and pine nuts, various fruits, brown rice, even in dark chocolate. It’s easy to get so why not eat plenty of fresh healthy food and increase your magnesium?
