Can exercise and taking certain vitamins reduce cancer risk? A randomized, double-blind study published in the journal Frontiers of Ageing, gives us remarkably encouraging results. The Do-Health trial was conducted between 2012 and 2017 with more than 2,000 people aged over 70, across 5 European countries. The study found that participants who took 2,000IU of vitamin D3 and 1,000mg Omega-3 fish oil daily, plus engaged in a program of simple strength exercises had a 61% reduced cancer risk over a 3 year follow up period.
