A study published in the American Heart Association Journal ‘Stroke’ in March 2015, examined 72,180 people between 40 and 79 years old over a period of 20 years. It was found that among people who ate fruit and veggies less than 3 times a day, those who took a daily multivitamin had a 33% reduction in death from stroke. Researchers said “this finding supports a beneficial role of multivitamin use among people with insufficient nutrient intake”.
